I m not sure if you understand this but I m reading this book about Buddhism and how important is to have RIGHT VIEW in life. Its not the main focus of Buddhism but one of the crucial nonetheless.
well let me give you an example of what i mean or what "right view" means: (always remember that its just an example and doesn't really have to be anything more :))
lets say..... you neighbor is moving out...and when you come back from your day at work you see new neighbor moving in. and they are super HOT. did you get that .. THEY. yes there are 3 girls and super hot. you cant seem to decide which one is AWESOME then others as you get few glimpse every now and then through your balcony (which has direct view to your HOT neighbor's balcony and living room). As they walk in their rooms in their "short" exposing their "god gifted...silky white "thighs ..you tend to forget to breath sometimes.
you make up your mind and you choose one.
this starts the FANTASY process for the single status guy. Our single guy hopes a chance to say HI to our HOT neighbor. he understand slightly manipulated version of Christ's "Love thy neighbor" clause. time goes on and single guy remains committed only to WORK...
with RIGHT VIEW Single guy's status might not change but what it gives is a quantum of solace to our guy.
whats the RIGHT view in this situation?
Right view would be:
1. Our guy has a shorts wearing HOT neighbor.
2. The fantasy process needs to be stopped as it creates desire which may not get fulfilled which will turn to pain which has no basis having said that true feeling shouldn't be ignored and guy should accept true facts as well.
3. Need to believe in himself enough that if destined things will work out between them and if NOT its for the best
Again remember that above case is an example and doesn't really have to be anything more :)
